Today it was my turn to treat Mr P and we visited the new amphitheatre at Trebah Garden for a Summer Serenade by the Duchy Opera. With our hamper packed with lots of delicious homemade goodies, a full drinks basket, folding chairs and blankets we settled down for a great couple of hours.
We enjoyed a programme of popular arias, ensembles and choruses. There was drama and passion, frolics and fun. Strauss, Verdi, Mozart, Handel, Puccini, Sullivan, Donizetti, Delibes, Sandy Wilson, Jerome Kern, Gershwin, David & Arthur, Schonberg, and Offenbach.
